Student FAQ
Not at all.
You don’t need to be loud, confident, or extroverted to belong here. Some students arrive quietly, observe first, and grow into the experience in their own way. There’s space for every personality — just show up as yourself. This is really common. Most students don’t know many people beforehand, but through shared experiences, you form strong connections quickly. By the end, it genuinely feels like you are a part of one big immersion family.
Each day is different, but usually includes time with the local community, hands-on experiences, and group reflection. It’s a mix of meaningful moments, challenge, and a lot of fun along the way.
Yes. The program is carefully planned with experienced facilitators, clear supervision, and strong local partnerships. Your safety and well-being are always the priority.

Yes — you’ll still have access to your phone at appropriate times. The goal is to stay connected when needed, while also being present in the experience. The final decision on when you have access to your phone will be made by your school staff.
Not at all. You don’t need to be “good” at anything — just open to getting involved. Everything is guided, and the experience is about learning, not being perfect.
This is not a tour or a school camp. It’s one of the most immersive service learning experiences offered anywhere.
You’ll live, learn, and connect within a real community — not as a visitor, but as someone involved. That level of immersion is what makes it so powerful. Students return with a completely different perspective on their life, their opportunities, and the impact they can have.
